Join us for an unprecedented weekend of education, song and friendship in spectacular Auckland, New Zealand.
A Capella Harmony Academy (AHA) 2016 will challenge members to build a stronger performance and to take their vocal and performance skills to the next level. AHA is the "spark" that dares people to step up their a cappella game -- to rise to the top!
Strong foundational skills are the necessary building blocks for a successful performance. On the first full day of classes, the "stellar" faculty will cover topics ranging from motivation and teamwork, to rhythm and resonance.
The second day of classes builds upon this strong foundation, adding the creative flourishes, the personality and the pizazz. Explore classes on expression, artistic sound and vocal texture.
In addition to the general curriculum, there is a Directors' Track, consisting of courses specifically designed for directors. Five of the seven elective periods have Directors' Track sessions, leaving two elective periods to make other selections.
There are also plenty of opportunities for ringing chords together! A group sing is scheduled each morning, and the curriculum includes several lively, interactive all-attendee classes and small-group classes that incorporate singing.
