The Young Women In Harmony Program (YWIH) teaches emerging voices the skills, joy and rewards of performing and singing four-part harmony, barbershop style.

The YWIH Program delivers both musical excellence and education while it gives young women a taste of show business. This program provides educational tools to teach female singers under the age of 25 the joy of performing this unique American vocal music art form.

Each year, the International Board of Directors (IBOD) allocates budgetted funds to support the Young Women in Harmony Program and its outreach to young singers and music educators worldwide. In addition, IBOD appoints the Young Women in Harmony Program Coordinators, an international committee comprised of three Sweet Adelines International volunteer members who partner with International headquarters staff as well as Regional YWIH Coordinators and Chapter YWIH Representatives to foster the program in communities across the globe.

Each geographical region of Sweet Adelines International has designated experienced member volunteers to assist you with coordinating a Young Women in Region Program in your area. To get started, simply contact your nearest Young Women in Harmony Coordinator or the Education Department at International Headquarters.
