Scholarships and Education Grants

The Young Singers Foundation (YSF), an outreach of Sweet Adelines International, is committed to enriching the lives of young women by promoting education and performance of vocal music within the barbershop style and pursues this mission by offering grants and scholarships.

The Young Singers Foundation Grants invest in the future of barbershop music and in the lives of young women. The Bev Sellers Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to those who have been associated with the women's barbershop genre to continue their collegiate studies in music education or vocal pedagogy.

The application deadline for the second yearly grant cycle was November 1, 2017, supporting activities beginning no earlier than May 1, 2018 and completed by April 30, 2019.

Bev Sellers Memorial Scholarships

Scholarship applications are open and will be accepted from November 15, 2017 - January 25, 2018 for the 2018-2019 academic year.

While it is the goal of the Foundation to award scholarships in the amount of $5,000, applicable to a complete year of schooling, the number and amount of scholarships is dependent on the success of annual fundraising efforts by the Young Singers Foundation.
