We've got a whole new spin education classes lined up, beginning with Monday Fun-day.

Tighten your fascinators...we've never done this before!

Monday Fun-Day
  • Monday Fun-Day starts at 9 a.m. with coffee and socializing. Bring your favorite beverage!
  • Warm up your minds, bodies and voices with the one and only, Renée Porzel.
  • Enjoy A Performance Meditation with SA Education Coordinator Nicholas Winterrowd. So you can nail the notes...and your nerves, too!
  • Don't miss Breathing for Singing & Vocal Warmups with Kim Vaughn. Because you don't become a three-time Queen of Harmony without expertise in vocal warmups!
  • Around 11 a.m., it's section rehearsals for "It's The Music That Brings Us Together" with a special lineup of Sweet Adelines—Vickie Maybury, Mary Rhea, and Kim Vaughn!
  • Lunch break at noon.
  • At 1 p.m., Monday Fun-Day will carry on with a giant chorus rehearsal. Under the direction of International Champion Skyline Chorus Director Vickie Maybury, and coaching from the one and only Betty Clipman, all singers will prepare to sing an accompaniment to "It's The Music That Brings Us Together" on the International Stage.

The friends you make on Monday will also be your riser mates on Thursday at the end of International Chorus Semifinals.

We request you fill out the Monday Fun-Day Chorus Release of Claims now, to keep from having to fill it out on-site.
Please wear jewel tones for the performance on Thursday. We will have additional details leading up to Louisville. You will know before you go!

In this class we will explore how our individual and ensemble energy influences every aspect of the music we create and the experience that we create for our audience. This interactive class will help you develop a greater awareness of the impact of energy, and how to master its application in your vocal performance through your foundational breathing skills.
