Thinking of competing in your regional contest but don’t know which division to compete in? Here’s a quick run-down of all of the divisions your chorus or quartet can compete in at the regional level.

International Division
This is the only division that qualifies you for International Convention. Performance is comprised of 3-7 minute performance of two songs. You will be scored numerically and your results will be published.
 
Evaluation Only
This division is the evaluative option to the International Division. Performance is comprised of 3-7 minute performance of two songs. You will be given a letter grade, but results are not published.
 
Video Evaluation
Same as Evaluation Only, but you submit a video recording of your performance versus singing live.
 
Open Division
This division is evaluative. Performance is an entertainment package, consisting of (a) one song or medley appropriate for use in a Sweet Adelines competition, (b) at least one other song, and (c) emcee material. The performance time is no more than 10 minutes. You will be given a letter grade and the results will be published.
 
Open Division Video
Same as Open Division, but you submit a video recording of your performance versus singing live.
