When Notes Before You Go are released, you know it’s almost time for Convention – and they’re here!

To help you prepare for this exciting week of competition, harmony, education and fun at the 77th Annual International Convention and Competition, we’ve combined the need-to-know info to make your convention experience absolutely epic.

Name Badges, Registration, Seating, and Traffic Pattern

Your name badge will serve as your ticket and must be worn for admission to all events. All name badges are available for pickup at the Registration Desk in Exhibit Hall C at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC). There will be no physical tickets this year

Already Registered? Individual registrants and the primary contact listed in the group registration can pick up Event Passes at Will Call, located in Exhibit Hall C. If your name badge is incorrect, corrections can be made at the Registration Desk.

Need to Register? Purchase All-Events and Single-Event Passes on site at the Registration Desk located in Exhibit Hall C. View pricing on our Registration page.

Competing in a chorus? Pick up your Event Pass from your designated chorus representative.

Seating and VIP Seating Overview: Harmony Classic (Tuesday, October 21) will be general seating for all, with no VIP seating. VIP seating will be honored from Wednesday, October 22, 2025 (Quartet Semifinals) through Saturday, October 25 (Chorus Finals). Those with VIP seating will have a section and seat noted on their name badges. If your name badge is incorrect upon pick-up, corrections can be made at the Registration Desk.

Traffic Pattern Rule: Non-competitors — including coaches, friends, and family — are not allowed on the competitor buses or in the traffic pattern where specified. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Cashless Event: The Sweet Adelines International Convention and Competition operates on a cashless system—all Sweet Adelines transactions must be made using a credit or debit card.

Where to be—and what to bring!

All competition sessions will be held in Exhibit Halls A & B (non-competitor entrance will be at Hall B).

 

What to Bring to Columbus!
  • Layers of clothing for fluctuating temperatures (inside the GCCC and outside) 
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Walking shoes
  • Sunscreen and lip balm, though it may be chilly
  • Moisturizer
  • Re-wetting eye drops (due to location, may be windy)
  • Sunglasses (again for wind)
  • An all-season coat, gloves, a hat, or a beanie for chilly nights
Audience Reminders
  • The use of all photography, audio, video, or movie recording equipment during any competition session is prohibited. Livestreaming is prohibited.
  • Please turn off cell phones and wristwatch alarms so they will not sound while contestants are on stage.
  • Smoking, e-cigs, and vaporizers are prohibited in convention and competition venues.
  • Please be aware that no one may enter or exit the competition seating area while contestants are on stage.
  • Firearms and weapons are prohibited at all Sweet Adelines event locations.
  • No food or beverage (other than water bottles) will be allowed in the competition arena.
Nursing Room at the GCCC

The Nursing Mother’s Room is located in the concourse where the Hyatt Regency Columbus and the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) meet. 

Education in Columbus

All education sessions are included in your All-Events Pass! CEUs will be offered for class sessions and adjudicated competition sessions. Find class descriptions, instructors, and the schedule on our Columbus Education page.

Harmony Bazaar

Location: Harmony Bazaar is located in Exhibit Hall C of the GCCC (same floor as the competition).

Monday: 2–7 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Wi-Fi at the GCCC

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in most public areas at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Food and Beverage Offerings at the GCCC

A variety of restaurants are within proximity to the GCCC. To ensure that people have ample time to eat, shop, and watch the contests, light concessions are also offered in Exhibit Hall C (which is also Harmony Bazaar), as well as the GCCC Exhibit Hall A & B Concourse. Seating will be available in the Exhibit Hall C. Concession times are as follows:

The market offers a wide variety of Persian and Asian foods as well as traditional grocery items. Hours of operation Sunday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-9 p.m., and Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-9 p.m. The market is approximately 1.3 miles from the convention hotels. Kroger Grocery Store, 150 West Sycamore Street, Columbus, OH 43215. Phone is 614-340-7979. This grocery store has both pick-up and delivery and is 1.8 miles away from the GCCC (approximately 12 minutes by car). Uber is recommended. Kroger offers both pick-up and delivery of groceries. Safety Tips
  • Do not walk alone, especially at night.

The airport is 7.1 Miles from Hilton Hotel Columbus Downtown which is close to the rest of the 2025 Convention hotels. It takes approximately 8-15 minutes to drive to the airport from all Convention hotels.

Airport Ground Transportation
  • Ridesharing pick up such as Uber and Lyft are available. After claiming your luggage and reserving your ride, go to the arrivals level (Level 1 of the terminal), cross the Arrivals Drive to the ground transportation area, and wait between the columns to the right. Note: It is best to arrange your ride after collecting all bags, when you are ready to exit the terminal. 
  • Taxis are also available on the ground transportation level. Call the airport’s Taxi Management Team at 614.239.8294 with questions.
