About the Program
The Director Certification Program (DCP) is an educational program designed to provide additional training and further develop skills for Sweet Adelines International directors, potential directors and musical leaders. The program provides opportunities to validate the skills and knowledge required to direct a Sweet Adelines chorus. The DCP should not be viewed as the only source of training for directors, but rather should be seen as one component of each region's director development program.
Program Advancement
Advancement within the program is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of specified requirements for each level.

Once you complete the DCP to become a Certified Director and have directed a chorus for at least one year, you will be eligible for the following statuses:
- Harmony 500 Director (500+ points)
- Master Director (600+ points)
- Master 700 Director (700+ points)
Application Details
An applicant must be a member of Sweet Adelines International or a nonmember director of an active or prospective Sweet Adelines chorus.
To apply to the program:

Submit the DCP Application Form with the $100 USD non-refundable, non-transferable application fee, to Sweet Adelines International Headquarters by mail, email or fax.

Complete the self-evaluation form attached to your welcome letter and send to 1) International HQ, 2) the Education and 3) DCP Coordinators within your region to establish your applicant file.

Buy your DCP Modules with media tracks from Sweet Adelines International Sales.

Begin attending educational events for DCP participants and participate in evaluation sessions or take examinations when you are ready to do so.
